Cooking with Sumaiya!

Really fun video featuring Sumaiya making these wonderful chocolate covered pretzels where they are crunchy on the inside, sweet and melting on the outside with just a hint of saltiness, this are a great way to dress up the pretzel rods and have fun in the kitchen with your kids!

Ing:
Pretzel rods
Red chocolate wafers
For garnishing
White chocolate
Slivered almonds
Sprinkles
Coconut Flakes
Method:
Melt the chocolate, while this is melting get all the garnishing ingredients ready and lay some wax paper on the table. Once the chocolate is melted stat dipping the rods and shake of the excess, dress them up with whatever you like and place them on the wax paper, put it in the refrigerator for a couple hours.

A delicious sandwich and a perfect idea for lunch!
Ing:
bread
1 can tuna (in water)
2 tbsp mayonnaise
sliced pickles
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Method:
Assemble the tuna and mix it with the mayo, salt, and pepper, put it on your choice of bread, arrange with pickles and the other bread and put it in the sandwich.

Great ideas for kids to make their own lunches at home. A great beef barbeque sandwich with Sumaiya!
Ing:
2 lbs of beef stew (no fat)
1 tbsp of ginger and garlic
salt to taste
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp yogurt
Sauce Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup
3 tbsp of packed brown sugar
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
prepare and keep it aside for later use
Method:
Marinate the meat for at least 20 minutes then put it on the stove and let the meat get really tender, cover and cook the meat for a couple hours, once the meat is nice and tender shred it and mix it with the prepared sauce, return it back on the stove for another 20 minutes on very low heat. Fill it up in pita breads, buns, rotis or use as fillings!

A quick lunch that kids can customize and make on their own for a healthy, low cost, and personal lunch…
Ing:
2 tortillas
2 tbsp jared jalapenos diced
1/3 cup shredded cheese
4 to 5 tbsp picante sauce
olive oil
Method:
Dice the jalapenos and keep it aside in the mean time mix the picante sauce and the cheese and keep that aside also. Take one tortilla and spread the cheese mixture on it evenly, then add the jalapenos and lastly the tortilla. In a frying pan add the olive oil and place the quesadilla in the frying pan and pan fry till golden brown, turn the quesadilla and do the same for the other side. Slice in desired pieces and enjoy!

 

A wonderful lunch made by Sumaiya that is not only healthy but also very affordable, a mix of crispy tostada shells with salad and hamburger as well as sauce!
Ing:
1/2 cup salad
2 tbsp shredded cheese
2 tbsp ground beef (cooked)
2 tostada or taco shells baked
2 tbsp sauce (ortega or any other picante sauce)
All ingredients can be kept separate and mixed just before eating!
